Default Start up of Pen in Vista Lagging & Ink issue (tx2500)!

OK, basically all of a sudden I've noticed that the pen takes a while before I can use it...Before I could use it instantly to 'type' in my password, but now I have to wait about a whole minute before it becomes active. Does this have something to do with me having the touch active? I haven't installed any new drivers, it is just something that is beginning to bother me!

On the ink issue, has anyone else found that with the standard pen that came with the tx2500, if you are writing really fast and don't completely lift the pen you get funny trail lines between each letter? The only thing I can think of to sorta fix this is to make the pen less sensitive, i.e. I made the tip 'feel' go more to the firm side. I have recently replaced the nib and that is when this started happening a lot, but if I put any nib in now, it causes this.

    Someone please help! Thanx!

have you installed any new software? I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the wacom drivers.
