I'm not quite sure what tablet to recommend, but keep in mind that not all i5/i7 processors are created equal. For example, the Surface Pro 2 uses an i5-4200U (laptop processor) while the Vaio Tap 11 uses an I5-4210Y (tablet processor). The Surface Pro 2 will thoroughly outperform the Vaio Tap 11 if both are configured with an i5. I cannot find an i7 model of the Surface Pro 2, but even the i5 model would likely outperform the i7 model of the Vaio Tap 11. The Surface Pro 2 also has a better GPU than what would be on either Vaio model.

I can't find any tablets that run a laptop i7, so I think the Surface Pro 2 is going to be your most powerful option right now. Keep in mind that it does not have a true keyboard dock. The keyboard can be used in your lap but it's a little clumsy as you still need to use the kickstand on the tablet. Something like the Vaio Duo would be another option but it is not detachable and the i7 model is above your budget.

the cpu review does say it's better the i7-4610Y is better then i5-4200 : Intel Core i5-4200U vs i7-4610Y

but like you said the gpu is weaker then the surface pro 2 and of course 8gb of ram help on the surface pro 2.
But i don't like bulky surface pro 2 tablet.

I guess I have to go back Bestbuy and check out the surface pro 2 again..

If you don't need active digitizer but just want a powerful, portable gaming tablet, why not purchase a Razer Edge Pro? Best GPU performance of any tablet BY FAR. Also has excellent touchscreen, and semi-normal battery life unless your hardcore gaming on the battery often.
You can buy any passive stylus you want, (like the Wacom Bamboo Stylus solo | Wacom) since you don't need pressure sensitivity built in your good to go.

Still, if you want longer battery life go for the Surface Pro 2.
