Advice for tablet novice please
Hello
I am a OAP with fading laptop and thinking of buying a tablet to replace it. All I want to do with it is online shopping, send and receive emails and read books. I had an Ipad tutorial at the Apple shop with a very patient young man but it seems to me that this device does far more than I need so would be a waste of money for me. Could the experts on this forum advise me as to what else is 'out there' that would suit me. Also, I have cable broadband but not Wifi. If I buy something with Wifi, do I need a Wifi connection in my house. I know all this is probably very basic but it's a new world to me. My eyesight's not that great so a good screen would be important.
Many Thanks
Coley

Welcome to the forum! Yes, if you buy something with wifi and want to use it on the Internet in your house, you'll need wifi in your house.
