Re: Need help picking an Android tablet.
The capacitive screen on an Android tablet is fine for the light sketching you are talking about, Eiriasu. Sounds to me like a Windows-based tablet PC would be overkill. You should definitely get a stylus -- that will make things much easier.
Actually, now that I think about it, have you considered the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1? It's not out yet, but it will be an Android-based tablet with a stylus and Wacom display. Here's some more info:
A traditional tablet will easily give you the 8-10 hours of battery life you're looking for, be much more portable, and a far better option as an ebook reader.

If I were to spend $500 on anything, I would make sure it wasn't just a toy.
But like I said before, there's a bright side on this. Given that he has really decided to get a multimedia tablet, rather than than a more versatile TabletPC, it's -- to a minimum -- commendable that he has chosen a vastly superior product (the Prime) over the iPad! Enjoy your new gear, mate!

Re: Need help picking an Android tablet.
What a funny thread.
I'm imagining a guy going into a restaurant and asking for a light pasta dish, several waiters come and tell him he's actually really hungry and should buy a six course meal. Then lastly, one other waiter says, good thing you didn't order the highly popular light french dish because that meal is just a toy.
If I'd decided I wanted an Android tablet, I'd be waiting for the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1; the release date was clearly put back so it wouldn't be overshadowed by the Ipad (3) and the Note 01.1 will have a more powerful quad processor put in so it can compete.

Re: Need help picking an Android tablet.
who are you to say others are spammer? how about yourself? guess this forum has so little traffic because of bullies like you.
how much do you know that specific tablet? why not post your knowledge if you have any. to be honest, I didn't know it is "made in china" until nowLast edited by pepper_john; 04-28-2012 at 10:49 AM.
