Some years ago I bought my first Tablet PC, a HP TX1000. Later I exchanged it for (what I have now) a HP TM2 1070US. So which would be the way for me now?

Re: What Tablet PC should I buy?
Almost any convertible made in the last 3 to 4 years meet your requirements, you want new so you are looking at a Lenovo X201T or X220T (lower-end on sale), HP 2740P or an older gen Fujitsu T901 or TH730...

Tablet Legacy (I don't miss lugging around the convertibles):
Samsung Series 7 Slate A04 * Toshiba Libretto W105 * HP Slate 500
Toshiba M200 (this should still be the standard that all large convertables should be held too)
Toshiba M400 * Fujitsu U810 (of all my old convertables this one holds a special place in my heart)
Lenovo X61T * Lenovo X200T

Re: What Tablet PC should I buy?
If you're looking to save $ you could get an HP2730p or an x200t or a t5010. They're all very good and all around 500$ in a nutshell. You should really look over the next few pages of recommendations. There are lots of really good responses to the sort of general question you're asking. If you have more specific needs though, please ask more here.

Re: What Tablet PC should I buy?
@gimamm86
You say you like apple products but the tablet offering from them is the ipad and it does not have a optical drive or usb ports and I don't think it has microsd either but someone can correct me on that. What kind of games do you want to play? If you want to play android games, I don't think there are any android tablets that have an optical drive. If it's windows games you wanna play, as I'm learning myself, most tablet pcs are very underpowered for processor and graphics intensive stuff. You could of course play older games though just fine, especially on a core2duo. Thing is, even for that, you'll have to buy a used or refurbished tablet, you specified wanting a new device for only $500.
If you could specify more what your priorities are and intended usage I could help ya better. For example, by "entertainment" do you just mean watching youtube and movies and some simple (not resource hungry) games?
If you're into android games, the transformer is a pretty capable device; I know because I happen to have one and use it primarily for just that. I don't know how badly you need to read cds/dvds, but with a microusb to usb adapter and usb cd/dvd drive you might be able to connect that to the transformer. I don't know if honeycomb is equipped to recognize an optical drive though. Another android tablet, the Toshiba Thrive has full usb ports I read, but same issue/question with the honeycomb os recognizing the drive.
Since you said maybe to the pen question, just so you know neither of those tablets have stylus support. Now, if you like Samsung, the Galaxy Tab has made more than a few folks happy tablet fans. It too lacks optical drive and like all android tablets other than the Thrive lacks full usb ports. I believe it has microsd as seems to be standard among android tabs. I suggest you check it out, might just fit your needs. I don't know if it comes in matte or not.
All that said about android though, android does not run Microsoft Office or a full version of Photoshop. There is a lite version of Photoshop designed for android though. The HTC Flyer is the only android tablet I know of with stylus support (and I've read many a review saying how buggy it is), unless we consider the samsung galaxy note a tablet (which I also have and it is amazing). Also, there are a few Office alternatives made for android. My Transformer came with Polaris Office and with the dock installed has been more than sufficient for my mobile office needs.
I remember rumors from Fall of last year that Microsoft was going to make Office for iOS, but I haven't heard anything about that recently, maybe someone else knows better. I know you can read your office documents via documents2go on the ipad. Like most android tablets, the ipad is more made for content consumption, not creation. If creating documents and running photoshop is a big part of your needs, neither an android tab or nor an ipad will do what you want. If playing newer games, or android games, or iOS games is a big part of your needs, a windows tablet won't do it for you either.
Dunno if any of that helped, sorry I couldn't offer you more.

Re: What Tablet PC should I buy?
concerning on Samsung Exynos 4210 processor. I found tapfuture provided a 8inch item on it, if it's IPS display, would be great.
