Re: Which tablet (if any) a Graphic Designer could use?
I've heard some bad stories about the Asus EP121 with Photoshop Creative Suite applications - the only other option I can think of right now is the Samsung Series 7 Slate. Amazon UK has it for £999 which would take it over your 1000 Euro budget unless you know of any re-sellers more local to you in Italy?
At this price range though, I'd still recommend trying before buying.
There is a thread here worth checking through for review and opinion:

Hi, thanks for the answer!
Which kind of "bad stories" about the EP121? I was already drolling above it!
This Samsung seems very good, is it as powerful as the EP121? So no downsides?

Re: Which tablet (if any) a Graphic Designer could use?
The Samsung S7 is more powerful than the ep121, is lighter and thinner, and it gets better battery life. It's also a bit more expensive. Downside? The S7 has no pen silo, some batches are known to have some issues with "screen lift", and it has a skinnier ratio-- it's 11.6" 16:9 versus the ep121's 12.1" 16:10 ratio. That's the comparison in a gist.
The S7 is clearly the more powerful and has better battery life, but the ep121 isn't without some of its own benefits. For your suggested usage though, I think the S7 is a clear better bet.Currently own:
x200t Superbright Outdoor-- 128 gb Intel ssd, 8 gb ram, Win7 64bit, 8 and 4-cell batteries
le1600 VA -- XP, 2 gb ram, art slate for my daughter and nieces
Owned: Motion le1600 VA, le1700, le1700 VA, le1700 UVA, X200t Superbright, X201t Superbright Outdoor, Fujitsu t5010, Motion j3400

Re: Which tablet (if any) a Graphic Designer could use?
....unless I'm missing something, my S7S has no sim card slot. It has a micro-SD card slot...but no spot for a sim card.
And I have both the S7S and ep121
For Photoshop use, the S7S utterly dominates the ep121.
The ep121 uses a ulv 1st Gen Core i5.
The S7S uses a ulv 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Core i5. (same guts as 11 inch macbook air)
Lets just say that the Sandy Bridge Refresh was a massive performance improvment and its night and day difference with photoshop.
Battery Life is also doubled that of the ep121, and the Screen is brighter and has a better color gamut, both of which are important for photoshop use.
And for the overall minor price increase, the S7S is much more bang for your buck. Its like an extra $200, but its worth it.Lenovo X-61 Tablet - 1.6 ghz, 4 gb ram
Gateway C-120X - 1.06 ghz, 2 gb ram (dead)
Hp TC1100 - 1.1 ghz, 1.5 gb ram
Ls800 - 1.2 ghz, 2 gb ram
Eee PC T-91, 1.3 ghz, 2 gb ram
Ipad 16gb Wi-FI (it does count as a tablet)
HP Slate 500 - 1.86 ghz, 2 gb ram
Asus Ep121 - 1.33 ghz, 4gb ram
Samsung Series 7 Slate - 1.6 ghz, 4 gb of ram

Samsung Serie 7 Slate PC XE700 in Italia - YouTube
Even if it's in italian at 0.54 you can hear "3G" at 0.56 you hear "mobile"... he's saying you can use a 3G sim... but maybe he's just lying
---
About the price i've found an italian reseller here in Rome: Samsung XE700T1A-H01IT - VENDIMELOTU.IT at € 1.378,85 including taxes, but he says that the 128 Gb is not available for sale yet, so i'll have to go for the 64GB.

Re: Which tablet (if any) a Graphic Designer could use?
Wow that's a horrible price. That's $1,827.88 at today's exchange rates. Is there nowhere else in Europe you could buy from?
If you have any friends in the UK, you could pay £999 (€ 1,192.49) for the 64GB version from Amazon UK here - (and no import duty as you're buying within the EU)

Re: Which tablet (if any) a Graphic Designer could use?
Yes i know, here in Europe, and especially in Italy, and especially in Rome (the capital) they always screw us up with the prices: $ = €
****ing greed capitalistic ****s!
Thanks for the link, but it says:
"Ship from US. List price dose NOT include any VAT and customs duty. Buyer need to pay VAT and customs duty."
I would buy online from US but i would pay a lot of custom fee... and a ticket to NY is more expensive than the diference of price
I probably should take a ryanair ticket to london for 20 €, go buying it myself, and coming back to Rome, but the risk is that in London it may cost even more!

Just bought it, and waiting for the tablet to arrive.
Any cool accessories to buy? I ordered the additional RAM and the hard case, something else?
