    Default Thanks!

Hello everybody! After doing extensive research online (and most heavily on this site) I buckled down and ordered direct from Fujitsu a Tablet PC. Here are the specs!

    LIFEBOOK T4220,GENUINE WINDOWS VISTA BUSINESS,
    INTEL CORE2 DUO T7700,1 YR,DVD-ROM,2GB (1GBX2),80GB (5400RPM) SATA HDD,MODEM,LAN,INTEL WLAN(AGN),BLUETOOTH,12.1 SXGA+,BAY BATTERY (A1B6H12615B60001) Extended One year Service Plan(FPC38-0107-01)

I wanted to buy it chiefly for doing art (one of the reasons I opted for the SXGA+) and downgraded on some of the features (like the DVD drive and hard disk memory) to save on cash. I maxed out the processor as much as Fujitsu allowed, but scaled back on the memory to try and save some money (it was already pretty expensive!) I probably missed out on a few things here and there, and by no means was it as fully informed a decision as it could be, but man! The results are great!

Overall the experience has been absolutely excellent for me, and I've found that it's the perfect tool for doing art. I haven't toyed around in Photoshop any (I'm not all too familiar with it anywho) but I did recently purchase ArtRage, and it's the perfect translation for someone like me who's a lot more familiar with real media. My old external wacom tablet doesn't compare at all to the comfort I get from the tablet pc, and I'm very much so glad I buckled down and made the purchase.

Anywho, I mainly wanted to write to all of the regular forum posters here to give a hearty and collective thank you very much! Without all of your experiences and knowledge to guide me in my search I would have had an awfully difficult time deciding. Keep on rocking my friends, and I will do my best (which, unfortunately, isn't all that great, but I'll try! ) to pass on what knowledge I gain from my experiences with the tablet. Peace out!

You'll love it. The only thing I don't like about the hardware is the keyboard. More specifically, the space bar.

    Did a simulated-customization with the T4220, here's what I came up with:
Without discounts, taxes or shipping added to the grand total cost, the customized build Kentama ordered came out to be $2,442.95. And, it should arrive on or around November 13th, 2007.
