Has Toshiba given up on Tablet PCs?
Yes, I know that they introduced the M750 the fall of 2009 [I believe], but that was really not a NEW Tablet PC introduction, but an update to the M700. With all of the attention going to the "new" tablets such as the iPad and Galaxy pad, has Toshiba given up on a truly functional, powerful and upgraded Tablet PC similar to the M700/M750?
I certainly would be interested in one of the new generation processors, or even waiting for the Intel Sandy Bridge in a Toshiba Tablet PC with multiTouch.Bill

Looks very nice and better than some of the competition. (MUCH better than the Viewpad 10)
I suppose many oems have given up on Windows tablets which is a shame. Longer battery life and a bit of effort/touch app store from Microsoft would go a long way.

Re: Has Toshiba given up on Tablet PCs?
but this is not what I was referring to. This is the another iPad like tablet that will be entering the fray. I agree, I would much prefer this Toshiba tablet over the iPad, but it is not the type of functional and powerful tablet that I was referring to above.

Re: Has Toshiba given up on Tablet PCs?
Yeah Toshiba has been a little quiet on the convertible Tablet PC side. They did release the W100, though while a novelty item is something that they could do a lot with if they worked on a mass production version. But I think they do have some Windows devices in store.
I think until Sandy Bridge goes into full swing you won't see a lot of new Tablet PCs because most people seem to be waiting for those to popup. Samsung Series 7 XE700T1A-A04US 11.6-Inch Slate (128 GB, Win 7 HP)

Sorry, when I said "Windows tablets" I meant convertibles.
