GAMES (Toshiba m700): Neverwinter Nights 2
Has anyone gotten Neverwinter Nights 2 to run on their Toshiba Portege m700? I haven't gotten it to work under XP, 7, and Vista...

Re: GAMES (Toshiba m700): Neverwinter Nights 2
It won't be the operating system that's the problem, rather the graphics capabilities (ie. only having Intel integrated graphics). Try googling "Neverwinter Nights 2", "intel x3100" to look for other people's feedback.
Having just done this for you I immediately find:
SHUT: Intel GMA 945 Games Compatibility List - Updated
Apparently you need to run a program called 3D-Analyse: 3dfxzone.it - Tools Channel -> 3D-Analyze -> Archive
Further details: The Intel GMA 950 game compatibility list - Graphics-Cards - Graphic-Displays
Note, the links are for the Intel GMA 950 so although the X3100 is better it's probably still worth a try.
First though, I'd try making sure you are running the latest graphics drivers from (a) Toshiba's M700 support page and if that doesn't help then (b) Intel's website for the X3100.
Hope that helps.

Re: GAMES (Toshiba m700): Neverwinter Nights 2
Now it works. I reinstalled Windows 7 Professional. The first thing I installed afterwards was the game, and now it runs w/out a problem. It runs very well on the x3100...

Re: GAMES (Toshiba m700): Neverwinter Nights 2
The game does work. I installed all the patches, updating the game, and turned off the autoplay feature for Virtual Drive (Game Drive). I'm posting this now, in case anyone will ever care.
