Quick Screen related question
Hi, well I went to my local certified toshiba shop to get a new lcd... since my previous one had like 8~9 dead pixels... Any ways I get my laptop back and I see this black dot on my lcd screen. I'm pretty sure it's not a dead pixel and it looks more like a dirt stuck... It's too huge and misshaped to be a dead pixel.. and I was wondering can I take apart my lcd and just clean it out?
thanks,
Jeong

Re: Quick Screen related question
I own the m700 model, and I was wondering this doesn't affect my warranty right?

Re: Quick Screen related question
If you do it right they shouldn't be able to tell (there isn't a way to indicate that the screen has been opened). If it is obvious that you opened it and your screen stops working they could decide that you caused the damage (it would be difficult to impossible to prove that your opening the screen had nothing to do with the problem) and say that your warranty is void.

Re: Quick Screen related question
Tablets (several manufacturers) seem to have this problem. Dust gets behind the protector (mine has a small speck, but it just doesn't bother me that much... I'll probably get it out later) and I have no doubt that you will have to deal this again later. It's a hassle to be sure, but not that big of a deal (as you have found).
