ah i see. your right. If i ever get a different tablet ill give it a go, but i have no reason to spend more $$ now because i have a good working color critical workflow. Dont have any other monitors to try.

its a bit OT but i did get my ipad pro to calibrate with xrites color true mobile app. it can only display through the app though, no way to force a ICC profile on iOS that i know of. The display matched my cintiq very well.

In my dreams Clevo makes a P870-TM1 hexacore laptop (already available) with a digitizer screen. I really can't get myself excited over a Quadro M620 graphics card in this HP.

Just curious why? this isnt a gaming machine and thats plenty of GPU for the painting, video or 3d render projects that you might want to give that little CPU.

Just my use-case. My computer is for research, and healthcare data entry / annotating scans etc. The research bit runs faster on a multi-core processor, the tablet part needed for data entry. A Thinkpad P51 is as close as I can get to what I want. Oh, I play games too, so a nice graphics card doesn't hurt.

The ZBook x2 is now configurable in the UK, including the 8th gen CPUs.

    http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Offer.aspx?p=b-configure-your-workstation

This link allows you to configure a workstation and gives prices although instead of completing your order online, it sends an email to the workstation sales specialist in the UK who then deals with the order for you. He wasn't easy to track down but he's happy for me to pass on his name and contact details: Ross Kean ( kean@hp.com DD: 020 3 321 5473 ).

ive been checking the prices and I think having had a close look there not to bad .ive rang hp and have a contact who can custom make me my spec I still think this is better for me that the Wacom mobile studio as the screen I think is far better on the hp and I love the adjustable stand for when sketching on the settee...only thing at the mo would be nice to know battery life .this and then I will purchase the Wacom 32inch even though I really don't care for the quality control of Wacom maybe this will change having had the 27hd touch with dead pixels and all the other devices is the only thing that puts me off ...so the hp is looking like around the £2 to £2.5k in the uk EMR superior to surface book 14inch not bad shame not 3.2 but not bad and gen 8 intel ....my notebook pro 9 im happy with but just the resolution the surface book 15 I like the machine but accuracy pen gets on my nerves superb battery life ..I think the hp hits all the things I need will do a review when o order and get it just need to work out how much ram ..

Would you seriously consider trading in your N9P for a 14" machine because of resolution..?

I've only ever played with the super high-resolution screens on show room Android and iPad models, and it was pretty amazing, but is it that worthwhile in your opinion?

I can see the pixels on the N9P and the screen is ok mine has backlight bleed and dead pixels but could not be bothered sending it back..its a good machine but limited with no feel driver

oh nice! well its looks like even though it has less ram it should be about as fast as the MSP 16 GPU. Has the same amount of shader cores IIRC. i dont play games so i have no idea what performance level that is though.

looks like that quad core will be a bit snappier than the old dual core systems for most workflows. im hoping to see this CPU and RAM find its way into the MSP 2. This HP seems so sweet for creatives....
