Thanks! I'll have to borrow our writers unit and try it out.

The eink screen is not a display. It's a USB peripheral.

Yes that's what I thought. Tried it and still only a keyboard, drawing pad or PDF, epub reader. Well maybe next version

Wouldn't it then be possible to install DisplayLink driver and run it as a second screen?

It is not recognized as a display. Not even a USB display. It is it's own usb device that transfers information to and from the computer, either sending keystrokes or pen motions or opening files from the hard drive in it's own separate ereader software, but it is not a display.

I read somewhere that they actually had the eInk screen displaying
Windows. But it was so slow, they feared the consumer would become frustrated
with it and axed the feature.

I hope the PDF annotation will allow us to draw / markup the pdf with
the pen, not just type in annotations.

Well, I'm borrowing it from Best Buy (found open box fr $600), but I ain't keepin it. The digitizer's grid density SUCKS. The diagonal jitter is very noticeable. Not acceptable for a $1000+ machine that only came with 4GB of RAM ffs. I can't possibly try to replace my Helix 2nd gen with this thing...

Sorry for asking, but can I see a demo of using e ink display as graphic tablet? I want to see how it performs before buying it but can't find any. I have been cursing at direction of Lenovo's HQ every morning before I take a morning shower for entirety of this year for releasing yogabook without proper drawing function, so this is big news for me. I hope it's just like original yogabook... I hope.

Works just like an external Wacom tablet.
You drive the pen/cursor from the bottom section, however, you lose
your keyboard. You'll need an external keyboard or have to use
    the on-screen one.

I prefer the on-screen digitizing for drawing though there are instances where
using the digitizer tablet works better for some scenarios

My pen had jaggies and generally mis-behaved.
Once you use the registry hack to enable the legacy thing,
it works pretty good considering it's not a true EMR.
