The user reviews are very good. I want this, but in a 15.6” model. They’ve been making 15” models for the older yoga’s, so my hope is this is just the first in a new wave of Yogas that have the sound bar and HDR screen, plus the pen in a silo. The reviews seem super positive re: sound quality as well. So not really a gimmick!! Yay!

My laptop is basically my entire entertainment unit in my house as we have no TV, so good sound would be a wonderful improvement. Pen in the silo is for field work. It seems like a very good buy.

Is there a point of choosing x1 yoga over this?

How does the X1 has more horse power? you can also get this as i7 and up to 16gb ram, i can not see the completely different use case unless you need the 32GB ram.
In Denmark the 930C is half the price of X1, so for most it will be an easy choice, you can even get it in black.

As I see it, the basic differences are-- typing experience is likely (historically speaking) better on the Thinkpad, trackpoint and, potentially, warranty service. The x1 yoga Thinkpad also has the 500 nit option, which can mean a lot to certain use cases as well. But yes, you're correct- this is so close to being a Thinkpad, they should just put a trackpoint on it and get it over with. I would love it if they would marry some of the new features of this line with the Thinkpad line.

Yeah, if they could do a trackpoint pointing experience on the e-ink keyboard, that would be _amazing_.

We are talking about the Yoga C930 not the Yoga BOOK C930. There are no e-ink screen on it.
    Crappy naming from lenovo...
