Thanks a lot for the link; What amazes me the most however is another article linked on this website, that, if promises expected by the researchers is delivered, could really be a true groundbreaking scientific discovery:

If this is true metallic hydrogen AND if it is metastable (lots of if) then we may get a superconductor at room temperature, one of the holy grails of modern physics!

Battery tech is probably up there with fusion power it terms of importance to enter the "next age" of technology after the information era.

 

I confess that battery technology is one of my special interests.

Unfortunately, given the pokey pace of progress, we'll have fusion power before we get a better, practical battery technology!
