I know that not everything on the net is true, but also not everytime someone shouts fake it has to be one.

    So let's wait and see.

So the Xiaomi MI press conference is over and they didn't introduce a new tablet.
unfortunately now it will be the Cube Mix Plus I will have to buy.

    Seems so.
I decided in January to buy the Cube Mix Plus, and couldn't be happier.
Except for the RAM it performs the same as the HP Elitebook 850 G2 ( I5-6200U) the company provides,
and in access of that, the USB-C is a 3.1 with PD and Videoout.
I also installed Throttlestop and as the tablet supports speedshift I have 4 profiles from Highsped over medium and one that runs on 600MHz only.

When my 3D Printer arrives I will print a Dockingstation for it with changable places for the usb-c dongles.

EDIT: Fake! This Xiaomi-Mi site may look official but I just finished chatting with an agent at the Xiaomi.com and it isn't. Disregard...

But it isn't! Funny enough, I was one of the first to call this out as fake news on this forum. Now I find myself in the ironic and awkward position where I am the same one breaking the news here for this very device. *Inserts foot in mouth* This just showed up in the search engine results 23 hours ago. All this comes from Xiaomi's official website. THE HYPE IS REAL!!! ARGH!!! :D Sorry about that little outburst there. It is just that a 9.7-inch Windows tablet is what I consider the perfect balance between content consumption and content creation. This is one step closer... (It just needs a Wacom pen and Core M!)

There is a total of 8 models, differentiated by color, OS, and onboard storage. The premium Windows version is called the Mi Pad 3 Pro while the plain jane Android version is simply the Mi Pad 3. Every model features 4 GB RAM and either OS version can be outfitted with 64 or 128 GB of storage in either a silver or gold exterior. Details on other features including the processor, expansion options, and other onboard amenities are still yet unlisted. However, based on the latest online leak, the processor is most likely an Atom X7-Z8750 present in both OS variations ( http://www.xiaomitoday.com/xiaomi-mi-pad-3-pro-specs /). Seeing that this leak was accurate in reporting the actual product names and prior mentioned specifications, they are likely correct. So, most likely no Core M, sadly. (Drats! So close...) Prices range from $269.00 to $409.00. No release date is shown still yet.

The lack of Core m3 is a disappointment, of course. It has an Atom x7, which was introduced in the 10.8" Surface 3 two years ago, so it's hard to get excited about it.

As a media consumption tablet the timing is unfortunate for Xiaomi: it's competing directly with Apple's new $329 iPad. We'll have to await reviews to find out how well it compares. Sure, it (Pro version) has the Windows 10 advantage over iOS for productivity, but how much of the target demographic would use it for work that can't get done on an iPad?

What was fake was the picture, I don't think people were claiming that the device would never appear. Still this is good news, the more small screen Windows tablets, the better for UWP app developers. Keep 'm coming!
