Ok, the ability to choose your thread display order (i.e. newest or oldest post first) has been restored. You can choose the display under the Preferences menu on your profile.

OK; maybe it's just me, but I don't see that option in my menu.

If memory serves, this was a problem last time. Doesn't some other parameter need to be set?

Last time it just had not been re-activated on this forum, but it's definitely turned on now. Maybe refresh cache to see if the Preferences page updates?
If others also don't see the Thread Display Mode option as below, let me know:

OK; figured it out. I was looking for a check box, not a pull down menu with a blank box.

Interesting that if the thing you're looking for doesn't look like what you're expecting, you can pass right over it...!?!!

I guess I'm going to continue to be the squeaky wheel here.

I've got the reading order of the messages reversed so last is first, but now the reply box is at the bottom of the page rather than at the head of the page. What gives with that?

In the last version of software, the reply box stayed at the head of the page regardless of the reading order... I think...

Nope, mine is at the end. If you think about it you are likely to react to some of the last postings in a thread so it makes sense to have the reply box close to that.

Twitter is to communications as haiku is to literature.

...Which, if you are set to last post first, should then be at the top of the page, no...?

Of course, did I miss something? I got the impression you wanted newest post last but reply box at the top. Probably more than half my contact is through Tapatalk so I don't change the standard settings in the web interface much. I was under the impression that XenForo is mute user definable than other forum software.
