There's apparently an antenna which can be extended from the screen to improve Wifi reception. Dunno how well it works, but there's some promo material from lenovo showing them going miles out from a wifi source and still getting a signal.

Shouldn't be, displays and processors are like apples compared to oranges. ;)

Anyways, Lenovo may have a shortage of either of the two (or perhaps both) and...well, I've explained a possibility in the thread you created.

Yeah, that's what I think too, but I called Lenovo, and the guy told me they were incompatible. I don't think it's true either, but nevertheless, SXGA+ remains unavailable for 1.8ghz. I called before to ask if SXGA+ would return to the X61 as an option, and they told me that SXGA+ was being phased out and wouldn't be offered anymore over quality concerns.

Sort of sad, but I have a 1600x1050 20inch LCD at home that I'll pair with the dinky 1024x768 screen.

I'd like to use x61t for coding directly instead of extending another LCD.

We should strongly request Lenovo to make this option available soon.

I will call them when I have time.
