    Hi all,

After I wiped out and clean installed Vista on my X61 Tablet, neither "Auto Screen Rotation" nor "ActiveRotate" feature works anymore on my machine. I did download the latest drivers from Lenovo, which included TabletPC Shortcut software. From the software side, I can go to TabletPC Shortcut/Setting to "configure" these features. However, the machine does not react to the settings that I configured on the software.

If you have idea where I can try, can you please help?

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Standang

Did you download the Lenovo system interface driver? I just did a clean install too and this was bugging me until this morning when I downloaded it again. Its easy to forget that doubleclicking on the downloaded file does not load the drivers, you still have to open the setup file.

Go find this in your directory and click on setup,

    drivers\win\smiif
    drivers\win\tbutil

Did you calibrate as well? Any feedback from the sensors?

Yes, I did calibrate and everything seems to be "normal" (at least what I can see)

You have to install the ThinkVantage Active Protection System package for the auto screen rotation to work. This is the package that will pause the hard drive from spinning when it detects movement of the laptop. The auto screen rotation uses this feature to determine when and how to change the orientation of the display.
