Out of curiosity, has anyone added a WWAN module to their Fujitsu Lifebook/Stylistic themselves? Do you have to buy the one Fujitsu sells, or can you install any WWAN module found on eBay, for example?

I've read that some other manufacturers (HP was one of them I saw) incorporate checks in the BIOS that only accept certain WWAN cards (i.e. only those from the OEM and not any third-party ones).

Some cards go on eBay for only $30 or so, whereas the Fujitsu store one goes for well over $100!

I ordered the official Fujitsu 4G card for my T902. The card is actually a Sierra wireless MC7710 LTE card. I'll report back when I get it. I'll have to install the modem myself since we can't order customized setups from Fujitsu here in Sweden.
