Yeah turns out that the only score which is higher is the storage score in the WEI test. Rather sad, but I hold hope that over clocking might help see a speed up. At this point however i'm not even sure that over clocking is even possible. It seems that HP assumed better battery life would be better than computing competency.

At this point I'm not sure about that being such a good idea.

I just added the Slate 2 to the list. Thanks, 2d! :)
I also added a link to a chart I made using LibreOffice.

    Motion F5 with Core 2 Duo U7500 (stock clocks @ 1.06Ghz): 32M = 84.707sec

This is on the OEM Vista install, don't know what effect it has, next week I'm putting Win 7 on it so we'll see

Should we move the thread to the "Hardware" forum?

Does it run stable at both 2147MHz and 2.2Ghz?

Surprisingly yes. It has always been stable @ 2.147 GHz. However, this past week it has been stable@2.2GHz.with no BSOD unlike before. Can't explain why. However, it does get warm . With my new lap lounge it does not get as hot as it used to when it was in the folio.
I usually keep it @2.147 GHz.
Addendum: Half hour after I wrote this post I got the BSOD out of nowhere...don't know why. I was using it @ 2.147 GHz and browsing the net. I had about 4 tabs open. The temp was around 66 C.

I rebooted and it has been stable since then....interesting or what?
