so the on/off slider for wireless doesn't work while in tablet mode, but i like to keep the wireless off unless i need it since the wireless card heats up a little. unfortunately, that means that when i want to turn on/off wireless, i have to lift up the screen to get the computer out of tablet mode, slide the switch, then put it back in tablet mode, which is a hassle.

is there any way to enable the switch while in tablet mode?

I have tried enable or disable in the device manager, no luck.

Can't you use the windows mobility center thing. It has a wifi off module. It doesn't make the light turn red, but the hp thing pops up and says disabled.
