After a lot of back and forth in my head, I finally pulled the trigger on the ScanSnap ix500, and very happy with it. It comes with a complete suite of software and also works over WiFi with my Surface or any of our iOS devices. There have been a few times that my wife wanted me to scan something in for her (she uses an iPad), so I can show her how to do it herself. Its a lot of money for the amount of scanning I really need to do; but I figured I would get frustrated with half the speed since I've had the old ScanSnap for so long. Hopefully I can turn that one over for $150 or so on eBay.

    Hello,
I think Canon Epson is the best choice because it's fast, easy to use, easy to refill and low maintenance....

We are talking about scanners... nothing to refill.
