I agree with smoothness and snappyness Eoma. I can't wait for the public beta and improvements over the next few weeks and months. This is going to be very cool for us.

Does anyone else find IE very jerky when using finger to scroll, with half second pauses as it redraws the screen.
It's completely smooth when using the pen and dragging the scroll bar.

Has anybody been able to install W8 on a Toshiba M400 Tablet?

I tried every tricks I know but the OS does not see the HD. With Windows 7 I was able to add the Toshiba RAID drivers and then have the HD recognized; I tried it with W8 but it does not work. I even format the HD and start from scratch but no luck; as soon as I tried the W7 DVD, and manually added the SATA drivers, the HD was recognized.
Maybe there are new SATA drivers?
    TIA

From what I understand, if you disable the hibernate you will only lose data if you run out of power. And I had disabled it in WIN 7 as I had the 32 gig SDD without any issues. Hibernate worked fine for me. Of course any dev work I did, I made sure was saved before I powered down. And OneNote saved on the fly for my notes.

Thanks a lot. I already dual booted. It installed on a 14gb partition, didn't need extra space.
You couldn't be more correct, it's very very snappy and the osk perfect.

Wish they had included modern reader in the dev prev version.

I've been using Windows 8 since Wednesday and really like it so far.
Much better interface for tablets than W7 was. I'm already very accustomed to the Edge interface and swiping to navigate.
The keyboard and TIP are much better. The keyboard is actually usable now.
It will be nice to have the hardware buttons working sometime. Now only the power and long-press on the home button work.
Bluetooth does work well though after going through the setup process described above.
Battery life seems about the same.
The PIN unlock screen is fantastic.

I had trouble installing Office and Zune the 1st night. Almost switched back. But I was able to install the apps on the 2nd attempt (and all other apps since). So glad I stuck with it. This OS is fun to use and I feel much faster and efficient than on Windows 7 on a tablet.
