I am not sure about the page file and system restore, but if you disable Hibernate you can get back the RAM in your file system.

Thanks. But isn't this for releasing ram? What l need is to free up more disc Space on the ssd.

    kind of...
Honestly I intend to go back to 7 until there is an update where everything works fine. The Windows Experience Index dropped to 2.1 because the latest intel graphics drivers don't seem to be optimized and installing the latest ASUS drivers seems to cause many problems with other components (no more EP121 volume key support for instance)!
Some metro apps which seemed to be working fine at first now give me a green screen ( the BSOD may become a GSOD in W8 ^^ ).

I expected a lot from this touch friendly interface but now I am confused by Microsoft choices. Metro and Windows 7 don't seem to work together, rather side by side and I really didn't expect this from W8. I am not sure where they are going with this.

just remember it's not even beta yet.

and who knows, maybe they changed the WEI metric yet again. my machine seems pretty snappy with the generic drivers and apps seem to run fine...

but for me it's worth it, I'm developing my first metro app starting today (tonight)...

Windows 8 works just fine on hp 2710p. Nevertheless, the OS does need some polishing. You can tell that this version is a developer's preview as it feels bare bones. I am excited about future tweaks that Microsoft might implement by the beta stage. Until then, I will be going back to Windows 7.

Download Asus driver for wlan. It includes both WiFi and bluetooth.
You must set compatibility for the file to run as windows 7.
    Then run the installation.

    Works on my EP121.

I had trouble pairing it to computer. After a few fails it started askinh for a key. A few hours later I figured out that I needed to enter a key on the ep121 like 0000 and then enter the same keys on the keyboard followed by enter. Used it all day.

One more thing. Hibernate off 20 sec boot. Hibernate on 7 sec.
