    Hi guys !

I'm a new owner of the slate, it's just awsome !

I find a way to get the keyboar button and the WIN + TAB buttons to work on win 8 CP.

First, you have to install the HotKey Service Utilitiy driver. (I did it with windows 7 compatibility enable, but I don't know if it is important).

Once installed, you have to run C:\programx86\Asus\EeeSlate Hotkey\PadKeyLogon64.exe and PadKeyCtrl.exe.

That's all. The keyboard-button works, but the keyboard is in window mode, so it's not exactly the same.

So, I tried to find a way to launch those 2 programs at Windows startup, but for now I don't know how to do that on Win 8 CP.

Are the Intel Processor Drivers new? What is the date on the driver file?

For me that's the true indication of whether or not being an 'early adaptor' of Windows 8 is worth the hassle.

Has anyone update to Windows 8 Beta or has it all been new installs?

In One Note, you used to be able to get a keyboard or pen entry space. That no longer happens. anyone figured out how to make it work?

Edit: Still have problems to get run hardware key software in autostart (refer to first thread). Maybe someone of you can handle that?

Start OneNote, open the Keyboard with the Icon in the taskbar, click on the keyboard symbol in the right bottom corner and choose the pencil.

    Hi all,

I installed Windows 8, downloaded all of the available updates and then started in on this driver list. I followed all listed instructions and had great results with the exception of the KEYBOARD button. I can, of course, install the Hotkey driver, but then when I look for the two files mentioned, "PadKeyCtrl.exe" and, "PadKeyLogon64.exe" they are not in the specified folder.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks!

You could try to search for the filenames in your "programs" and "programs x86" folder or on your complete C drive.

Otherwise try to reinstall the driver

I cant install that driver on my device.

I hope I am not wrong, but this driver is not compatible to the ep121. It has its own GPU graphic unit and this driver is for processors, that also handle the GPU.
That means the driver is just compatible to machines without an extra graphic card. Right?!
