 Good grief - the Bowden's conclusion says it all: "It's unclear exactly why Microsoft has made this change. The new tablet experience is not an improvement over the old one. That's not the say the old Tablet Mode was any good, but the changes made here aren't any better. Microsoft still needs to deliver a truly new and innovative Tablet Mode experience to match iPad. Simply put, it's not there yet."

MS might a well give up on trying to make an "iPad-like experience" for the same reason they had to give up on Windows Phone and come back with an Android phone - apps, apps, apps. In fact, despite how nice the new Tab S7 is (and direct of an iPad Air ripoff it is as well), even it is NOT a competitor for iPad - again, where are the Android TABLET apps.

Maybe Neo (and even Duo) will come as close to a "tablet" experience as MS will get - might as well toss in that towel, continue to perfect Duo and Windows X, and call it a day. Sorry to keep beating a dead horse, but my SG2 is a great productivity tablet, so why not just stick with what you are good at.

All I want is a straight-forward way to select text and interact with UI elements and to draw using the stylus --- you know, the way things were before Fall Creators "Update" (which is why I've rolled back to 1703 twice now).

Seriously wondering how well Linux would work on a Samsung Tab S7+...

I got 20H2 on Monday & so far not noticing too much of a difference other than the start menu change. It's not faster, but also not slower.
