Hi. I am looking to buy a new convertable tablet. I would prefer a 13" or 14" widescreen. However, in all of my research I havn't come across any such dimensions.

Do any such tablets exist? Does anyone know if any such tablets are planned? Is there any reason why widescreen tablets evidently don't exist?

Edit: Just noticed that gateway and asus announced they would be coming out with widescreen tablets. But, I couldn't find them listed in the database on this site.

The gateway CX200 (and its sister the m280) both have 14" widecreens. And are currently both available for sale in the US. There are reviews in the review section of this site, aswell as info on www.gateway.com.

thanks for the response guys. So it looks like it's just the gateway and the future asus? I really want some sort of dedicated graphics card, I hope the asus comes through for me. Looks like the gateway can be upgraded to dedicated graphics, but I reallly hate gateway computers :/

Other than the asus, are there any other 13"/14" widescreen on the horizon?

Btw, whats the difference between the CX200 and the M280? I know one is for home and the other for business, but beyond that I can't really tell.

Yes there are such widescreen tablets, I am surprised you haven't seen any on the market. I guess widescreens being heavy are just part of the deal.
