I was wondering why a pure tablet costs .more than a convertible tablet
A 2010 weighs the same as a ST5112. You would think hinge and other components would make more costly.

Slates have to fit the same amount of components into a thinner machine without compromising heat, weight, structural rigidity etc... hence more R&D and engineering costs... more moneys for the goodies.

Slates are a niche market inside a niche market.

Do the slates sell well? I'm always hoping they do well, because I really like them and would hate to see them disappear from the market.
