I am wanting to buy a tablet pc and have pretty much decided on Fujitsu. I would like to buy one that is going to last (technology wise) for a few years and not become unbearably slow.
The options I have at the moment are:

    Fujitsu LifeBook T4310 12.1" WXGA Black w/ dual digitizer & 2MP web cam, T6600 (2.2Hz), 2 + 2gb (4gb) GB RAM, 128GB SATA SSD, Intel GMA 4500MHD Super Multi DVDRW, Atheros 802.11 BGN , Finger Print Scanning

    or

    TH 700 Intel® Core™i5-520M processor 2.4GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.933GHz; 12.1-inch WXGA TFT with dual digitizer (1280 x 800 pixels, 200nits Brightness, 600:1 Contrast Ratio, [Anti-Glare]); 4GB DDR3 1066MHz; 128GB/ 64GB SSD; Intel® HD Graphics; Dual Layer Super Multi Writer; Bluetooth® v2.1+EDR, 1000/100/10Mbps2 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express® x 1 and Wireless LAN 802.11BGN network connection. Integrated 2.0 Mega Pixel camera

The TH700 is much more expensive which isn't an issue if there is going to be a noticable difference in performance and longevity.

Thank you all for your advice... all these specs are doing my head in!

I'd say, if you have the money, go for the th700.

In the US, they only offer the i3 th700... :(.

You want the T730. Not the TH700. Better chip set: standard versus performance. See the post on the T730 for links and a summary of the differences. I would go for the 1399 T730 with the i3 chip and upgrade later with either a i7 or SDD.
