It is all over the internet as a refurbished unit and at around 900 for the cheapest version it seems like a decent unit. Anyone know any different?

Well, the HP line is widely regarded as the best slate (does have a small twistable keyboard though) on the market. With the 1100 out, yes, there are very good deals on the older models. For under a grand, it's a fine option as long as you don't mind the hardware being a litle behind. Of course, it's always a question of money vs specs every time isn't it?

One thing to keep in mind if you are comparing this refurb to the new Averatec. It is a good possiblility that this new model will offer better specs. (as it is not even due until June). In addition to that factor, it is also a high probability that the Averatec will come preinstalled with the new Windows XP Tablet PC 2004 OS. This is speculation, however due to the release date, probable.

Welcome to the boards other Brian.

I don't know where court is referring to but I found a pretty sweet deal here. Based on ratings at CNET they seem pretty solid.

Just be sure it's a safe site, check places like http://resellerratings.com/ before ordering and read return policies carefully.
