I look forward to it. I've been heavily considering the HP spectre x2 or the Elite x2. Strangely the Spectre x2 doesn't seem to be included on the list of compatible devices on Wacom's site, but I am almost entirely positive that they use the exact same Wacom AES digitizer. Given my Dell Active pen for the Inspiron 7000 works on the Spectre x 2, and this one is listed as working for the Elite x2, I get the impression that Wacom has left a lot of devices off their list for some odd reason.

I hope they made the 2-1 Smart Pen's Cap better. I'm on my third EMR Smart Pen, and that stupid shirt clip in the cap brakes very easily. It doesn't break off, but it becomes super loose and using the pen with the cap becomes a problem since the clip rattles so much.

I think so. If you can't configure the buttons or adjust tip sensitivity, it's not exactly compatible.

Thanks for the review. I ordered one last night to see it first hand. I figure if I don't like it, I can always sell it on ebay. Seems a shame it has worse hover distance on the HP spectre x2. I also don't know much about the wacom feel drivers. I'm really interested in the spectre overall, but I am considering the elite instead now.

I'll know how it works on the Elite X2 1012 very soon. My pen shipped Friday.
