I recently purchased a new Acer W500 and would like to add some accessories to it.

Can you share which cases, extra ac adapter, car adapter, or any other accessories you have purchased and where did you get it? :)

I've seen at eBay an Acer case for the A500 and also an Acer adapter for the A500 but I don't know if these are compatible with the W500. Any opinions?

I was looking for the pouch advertised on Acer's site, but haven't seen it for sale anywhere....

    ICONIA TAB W500

I think those cases are just generic netbook cases. Whenever a new device comes out, they just change the description.

Here's what I have bought for my W500:

SanDisk 64GB Ultra Secure Digital High Capacity, SDXC, Memory Card, 15MB/Sec Read/Write Speed

Amazon.com: SanDisk 64GB Ultra Secure Digital High Capacity, SDXC, Memory Card, 15MB/Sec Read/Write Speed: Electronics

With not much space left on the SSD after a few applications (MS Office) and games. This is where I put all my data and media files.

BoxWave Capacitive iPad Stylus (Metallic Silver)

Amazon.com: BoxWave Capacitive iPad Stylus (Metallic Silver): Electronics

Navigating Win7 with your finger can sometimes be a pain (plus all those finger print and smudge on the screen)

rooCASE Neoprene Netbook Sleeve Case Cover for ASUS Eee PC T101MT-EU27-BK 10.1-Inch Convertible Tablet Black (Invisible Zipper Dual-Pocket - Black)

Amazon.com: rooCASE Neoprene Netbook Sleeve Case Cover for ASUS Eee PC T101MT-EU27-BK 10.1-Inch Convertible Tablet Black (Invisible Zipper Dual-Pocket - Black): Electronics

I use this for when I'm just carrying the tablet around with just the stand and stylus.

Twelve South Compass Portable Stand for iPad and iPad2

Amazon.com: Twelve South Compass Portable Stand for iPad and iPad2: Electronics

Bit expensive and heavy but it's the most compact stand I can find.

Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue)

Amazon.com: Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue): Electronics

Little bit bigger than I want but it's the smallest BT mouse from Logitech.

Case Logic LNEO-10 Ultraportable Neoprene Notebook/iPad Sleeve Fits 7 to 10.2-Inch Tablets (Black)

Amazon.com: Case Logic LNEO-10 Ultraportable Neoprene Notebook/iPad Sleeve Fits 7 to 10.2-Inch Tablets (Black): Computer & Accessories

This is the one I use to carry everything (dock, power supply, etc)

Existing stuff that I already have.

A piece of micro-fiber cloth that I got with some eye glasses.

    A pair of earbud headphone

    Things I'm considering:

Skinomi TechSkin™ Acer Iconia Tab W500 Silver Carbon Fiber Skin Protector

I tried to order a skin from Skinomi for my Archos 43 tablet... Took so long I ended up canceling it. People say if you buy it from the Amazon store you will get it faster because Amazon will hold their feet to the fire if they don't ship promptly.

This may fit but I don't have the tab or keyboard to check:
10 Inch Tablet PC Case with Keyboard - US$ 34.99
    Flytouch3 is 270x170x15 millimeters
    Iconia W500 is 275x190x20 millimeters
    Q550 is 275x192x16 millimeters

Thanks for the input Wiz. I dont have as many recommendations as you, but I will say this is for the win: [IMG]
    Best Buy HP Netbook Sleeve.
This works great with just the tablet, and will still fit the dock as well. It is soft and a perfect size for our device.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping that Amazon will have the ones for the W500 but so far all they have is the one for the A500 and such. I guess I'll wait a bit and see if Skinomi put the W500 one on Amazon.

Well. Actually the rooCASE Neoprene Netbook Sleeve Case Cover will hold both the Tab and Dock with no problem but after I put in the mouse, stand, headphone and stylus on the outside pocket. The whole package can get a bit heavy. I just don't want to accidentally dropped it and break something. That why I got the Case Logic LNEO-10 Notebook/iPad Sleeve as it comes with a handle and makes for much easier and secure carrying.

P.S. The rooCase is $9.50 and the Case Logic is $12.95, dirt cheap for 2 cases. :D

    Hello all

For a case, have a look at the Logitech LNE010. Great value from the usual suspects - Amazon and co. Mine's just the right size , has handles and has a zip pocket for your flash cards, etc.

You mean Case Logic:p . That's the one I'm using now. Fit the tablet alone or with keyboard, plenty of room on the outside pocket for accessories and dirt cheap too. :D

Thanks Wiz33 - you're quite right - it is a Case Logic. I'm being confused and magicked by my Logitech keyboard.

Sorry if anyone's been wasting time searching for the wrong thing.

Great case and, as you say, dirt cheap.

Hello - I'm looking for a stand and the Arkon looks good. In landscape the right way up (with the USB ports at the bottom) is threr enough clearance for the usb's? I know you can use it upside down so to speak but I like things proper as they say over here in UK!

I purchased the Targus TSM148US mini bag. It is in my opinion the perfect bag for the Acer w500. Its very heavy duty with many pockets for a power supply, stylus, mouse etc. Also the Arkon stand is light and heavy duty and works perfectly with the Acer w500. There is not enough clearance if you need to use the bottom USB on the left, but you can use the center USB if you have a left or right hand USB adapter.

Not unless you get some kind of right angle USB adapter and you might. I have one of this on it's way to me. I'll let you know if it works after I get it (Weds).

Amazon.com: Cables To Go 30501 FlexUSB USB 2.0 A Male to A Female Adapter (Black): Electronics

Also, do you plan on using the stand in portrait mode? The Arkon stand is not quite stiff enough to hold the the W500 in that orientation.

OK just got the right angle USB adapter. It works, although just barely. But now you can have other device plugged-in while in Landscape mode without having to put the Tab upside down.

Just found this case for the W500...i think i am going to buy. Best custom case i have seen and i can put in in a larger case logic bag. I am a little worried about the vent cover and i hope that it does not overheat the tablet. They have perferated holes but does not seem like you will get the same ventallation... I just ordered one. I'll report back when I get it...which they claim will take about 2 weeks.
