But what they could do, is alert their sales reps to automatically let the user send in the device if a certain type of call is made.

I'm almost afraid to use my pen now...

In between my e-mails with Asus regarding the RMA serivce........I also received an e-mail from the Microsoft Store .....asking my how my purchase of the Asus Vivo Note 8 has been and if I'd like to submit a review........lol........what wonderful timing.

Buy ASUS VivoTab Note 8 M80T Touchscreen Tablet - 32GB - Microsoft Store

I'm the only one who gave it a "1-Star" rating ...but I felt I was fair in that I specifically addressed the Digitizer Failure as the sole reason for the poor score.

I tried a Handbrake test before the Prime95 one, but I didn't have the patience to let it finish. I tried encoding a 700 Mb 720p movie into a lower resolution using all kinds of fancy filters (a custom preset), I let it work for about 15 minutes before having an urge to visit reddit and abandoning it. As with Prime95 it didn't go above 50 deg C. What was the resolution of that 300mb file ?

I think your better off not delaying the inevitable (if it wasn't a glitch). If it is going to break, there is probably nothing you can do about it. I say rip the Band-Aid off. If it is a glitch, then there is no reason to hamper its use.

    I agree.
Shake out the defects now & get it repaired.

    (You will have withdrawl symptoms)

    Good Luck

well, I'll not go on holiday without it and that'll be at the end of the month... I'll have to see if it still works at the end of it (I will need it to empty the microSD card of the dashcam we've ordered and put the day's video's on an external HDD).

Happened again, for the 2nd consecutive day, after another 4hr sketching marathon. No overheating. Just prolonged usage between boots. Pen wouldn't come back to life until a reboot. Owned this thing for 3 weeks.

    Aw, hamburgers.
