So in some sense I can consider myself super lucky if I ever hit the 800 ;-)

I've owned my tablet for about a month now without major issues. It's used extensively and all Windows updates have been applied. It may be worth noting that a couple weeks ago on a whim I downloaded all drivers from asus' website and installed them to ensure I was up to date (and conversely not running unsupported drivers).

How long did it take to get your tablet back?
    Disappointing that they just reloaded.

Mine is still out for repair. 2 1/2 weeks now.

Called for staus, they just said it is being diagnosed
(They have not figured out the problem)

They did not know if they were ordering new parts or what.
Hoping they do not just give up and reload, like they did with yours.

So the best would be if the pen stops permanently that just reloading would not help and they will have to do more. From what i have heard in my country, problems are the same all over the world with this tablet and many people got rid of this device. Looks like always, Asus can do good things, but only for a higher price... cheaper products by asus are made from cheap materials (electronics inside), that's Asus moto so far.
My tablet is 01/2014, but cant wait till the pen starts collapsing, going RMA because of finger-touch not working.

Reloading the entire Windows, refreshing the system, and even re-installing the 12cHID drivers did not
pernamently fix it. Several times I thought I had figured out
what was wrong, them WHAM, it would quit.

Even spent 20 minutes scribbling in OneNote,
filling up entire page to black and could not
    get it to overload.

Opened up another program and it quit....

Just some info, I bought my Vivotab Note 8 Feb 11th from the MS store in my local mall. It worked flawless for almost two months until Mar 31st. I love the tablet, but at this point, from the information in this thread regarding RMA's that appear to do nothing to the tablet except reload the OS and no real info from the ASUS on the subject, I'm going to try to return it to the store I bought it from.

I don't want to get caught in the loop of RMA, works for two months, RMA, works for two months, RMA, works for two months until it is eventually out of warranty.

It seems like there is some serious fault in the design and no word from ASUS on what it might be or if they are fixing it makes me nervous.

Sure hope they figure out what is wrong with them
    and fix the problem.

    I really like the tablet.

The tablet is a perfect size for writing and very portable.
The Wacom pen(when it works) is a joy to write with.

The price is a bargain for the full Windows/Wacom pen etc.
and it runs our 'old' programs

The Dell, even with the new replacement
A01 pen, still causes tension when
writing as compared to the Asus.

    BACK to start!!!

So, not even RMA fixed it...
Sent it on 28/3, it was back on 8/4. The device has definitely been opened (the signs on the side of the tablet say so), and Asus said it replaced an undefined "circuit"...
last Friday 11/4, the pen stopped again. From then on, the pen comes and goes (with me disabling and enabling the HID I2C device, which does not always work... sometimes it just needs to "rest" some minutes...).

Asus, what should I do to have a working device?!?!?!
I feel so "beta-tester" right now...
