So I just got the VivoTab Note 8 with Windows 8.1 pro. I want to create a recovery usb before I upgrade to windows 10.
I see there are 2 recovery partitions (900mb and 8gb), but I don't see an Asus software for creating a recovery. I know I can do a clean install of win10, but I don't want to do that because I don't want to lose those recovery partitions.
    Any ideas?

You wouldn't loos those partitions after upgrade and you can also downgrade to Win 8.1 for a month after upgrading to Win 10.

    thanks.
what if I want to do a complete, clean install, meaning via Setup on startup, and I delete the recovery partitions, how can restore them?

Do NOT mess with recovery partitions!
You can do a clean install using the media creation tool within the windows without touching the recovery partitions.doing it on the startup does not really have any significant benefit.

There isn't one. Use the system tool:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/create-usb-recovery-drive

Mind you, you cannot boot off SD, only via USB OTG.

You need to run this on the machine where the partition is on.
