Inking and power management is better in Vista.

I personally think Vista runs like a pig. Xp seems much more snappy.

It all depends what you plan to do with your tablet.

Lots of inking, go Vista. Irregular inking, go XP.

I purchased the x61t with xp tablet on it. I used it for about 2 weeks and then put vista on it. I really like vista so far.

I found the tablet experience in XP frustrating. I haven't had the need to ink much in vista so far. You will definitely need to tweak some things as it does use more resources. I think Vista is good. Most of the bugs are worked out now. Also installing from a USB is a major plus and was really quick and easy.

I like the GUI so far...
