This Is An Ultimate Problem For Tx And Dv Series Hp Built-In Webcams.
Since The First Day I Had My TX1000 Webcam Is Working Unstable...
What Do I Mean By Unstable Is: It Works Depending On Me Restarting Windows 25 times to make it work or Reinstall Drivers. And This Is Yes For One Time Achievement.
I Did Chat With HP Maybe 20 Times.Dont Belive Here Is Some Of The Track Numbers I Still Keep

    The First : 10011011179742220700
    The Second : 10011011179742403230
    The Third : 10011011179743281411
    The Fourth : 10011011179743294703

Luckly Some Dv Series Laptop Owners Found An Acer Webcam Driver That Fix The Issue On Their Computers.
But TX Series Still No Luck If There Is Any Please Letme KNOW ASAP

    Thank You

    not for me
it works pretty accurate on DV Series And I know it works on some tx series but not on mine mate not on mine there was a freeware webcam software that helped me a little bit which i made the camera work more frequently but that's it... camera still not working.

Sounds like hardware problem. Hope your laptop is still under warranty.

I did a clean install Vista using the instruction from:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=120228

It works great. It runs faster and more stable. No more bloatwares and programs running in background. Maybe a clean Vista install might help your camera run more stable.

Emmmm, if you know about the Acer webcam driver, then you should know that it also works for the tx. This is what I am using on mine.
