Any capacitive pen will do fine for selecting things, menus etc
The draw of the Dell Active Stylus is for creative uses like sketching, writing comfortably with your palm on the screen, using Photoshop, Notes in OneNote, etc. Programs such as OneNote will recognize when you press the pen button and change to eraser mode. etc

I have the Microsoft Wedge keyboard and think it's pretty solid (light and portable). Plus, the cover it comes with is a strong bendable rubber that makes the best stand for the Dell V8Pro.

That looks pretty good. I was looking at this one with the built in tablet stand and it is cheap...

I just keep thinking, if I got a keyboard then it's like carrying around an ultrabook. I think I'm going to skip it. If I need to type, the touch keyboard is fine.

I could just use a microfiber to wipe off the finger prints :D

I think the idea with these compact tablets is being able to throw it in your dude bag and not have to think about the weight and attachments so much yet still be able to FTP into your websites to emergency edit code and sh*t. (yeah right, who am I kidding, more like play video games while the girlfriend is shopping :D)
