Venue 8 - USB and Power at the same time?

    For me it works. I tested already with these. Only problem was Dx switch did not work out of box as switch was not working. I had to remove switch covers for free movement of switch.

    I think I'm confused. Following the numbering in the picture, it seems to me the thing you're left with is a free male microUSB connection. Shouldn't you be left with a free female USB connection so that you can connect and use a USB device while charging?

    Yea.. You are right. So the current config allow you to use the male micro USB to plug to the device.
    So I am searching for a USB hub with micro USB as input to make use of this cable
    Or you can get a female micro USB to female USB converter.

    I got this female micro usb to female usb. With that I can connect female microusb to connect to your device male microusb shown in pic and female usb to a hub for further usb devices. It works for me.

    Hi, wonder if anyone has tested this setup with OTG cable to connect to external monitor using mini usb to HDMI adaptor? Thanks.

    I am using this usb-hub with the male microUSB connection. Work´s well.

    What you need is a external USB graphic card like this one:
    i-tec USB Display Adapter Advance VGA
