While looking at the Modern UI interface type recovery. Select 'Create a recovery drive'. You can go from there.
    - Disable hibernation. Open an admin enabled CMD prompt and type powercfg.exe -h off
    - Turn off System protection
    - Disable Virtual Memory
    - Point your Libraries/folders to a MicroSD card

You can also disable a few services to free memory but I'll go into that once mine arrives as, like yourself, it'll be a scary 32GB.

    I have ordered 64gb version.
I want to know whether it comes windows 8.1 preinstalled or windows 8?
I also want to know whether it comes with office preinstalled or only key is given and we have to download and install office 2013.
Any one with 64 gb version has
    1)case
    2)case with key board
    3)sdxc card
4)otg usb cable, or powered usb hub for extension
    5)display link adapter
kindly share your accesseries brand, model and other useful info please.

Does disabling hibernation have any impact on the "fast startup" option?

I'm getting an annoying number of inadvertent zooms when trying to scroll in Internet Explorer. Haven't figured out the cause yet, but seems to happen more often when the page is loading.

Windows 8.1 and Office is pre-installed. You will need to enter the key (included in the box) to activate Office.

Is an 8gb flash drive large enough to move the recovery partition?

Great thread but looks to me that it needs its own section.

Just received my Venue 8 pro 32gb. Got it when it dropped to $229 couple days ago from amazon.

32gb SanDisk extreme microSD on its way from Amazon as well. Got it for $29

My use for this will be basic office items, browsing, writing, and some low-end web image mucking around on Photoshop. As a longtime user of Photoshop, I CANNOT stand the IOS apps and incarnations... finding it clunky/awkward/ and just poor to do basic image work.

Will also like to push a couple of emulators onto the Venue... for some fun games.

As for Tablet experience, I am an avid Ipad user who uses it in place of a desktop for many times...using it for digital photos with a wifi card, etc. Love the Ipad... hate the Iphone.
