Just got a Venue 8 Pro. First thing I noticed was the desktop has a "SecureBoot isn't configured correctly" watermark. I also saw a BIOS update on Dell's site. Installing that now to see if it addresses that... Perhaps they were holding some shipments to resolve that?

Edit: BIOS update doesn't appear to get rid of that watermark...

Once enabled, you may have to wait a day or two for the secure boot message to go away.

I'll see if mine has the same problem when I get home. You might need to access the BIOS to get rid of it.

For those who wondered- yes this has a full USB port. I had a USB OTG adapter handy, and mouse/keyboard/accessories all work just fine.

let us know how much if the 32GB is usable & how much is used / free.

I have asked this 2 times now & have gotten 2 different answers... The first said 28 free with the OS + Office installed, the next said 30GB free with the OS + Office installed. None of the 2 seemed right or even possible either...

It is a bit sad that Dell's own sales support knows so little about what they are even selling.

I ordered the 32GB with Stylus & I plan to use a 64GB MicroSD for most of my data & programs.

That's awesome, thanks for the info. If you have the connector it would be great to see if the Dell V8P can push USB to HDMI, thanks! Can wait to receive mine.

How is the display on it? Were you able to get it with the stylus?

The USB port is just what it is... a single USB 2.0 port, for connecting multiple USB devices just use a Hub. The tablet is running Windows 8.1 so any USB device that works on your desktop should work with this tablet. What I really want to know is, can you still charge the tablet with a USB device connected with a OTG USB Y cable.

Also owners, can you tell us what the usable storage space available is. Does it come with a recovery partition? Thanks!

Here's a picture of the box. I'll let one of the others take some shots of the tablet itself- mine is already a smudgy mess that's all plugged into a bunch of things to run the tests people have requested... :)

The display is good, in fact better feeling than I thought given the relatively low resolution. The stylus is shipped but hasn't arrived yet.

Dell has already said the models with SIM slots will ship sometime later- these first models don't have it. I don't think anyone has been told when to expect those yet...

Doesn't have much free, I think it was around 12 GB after the first Windows Updates. Looks like the recovery partition is taking 4.6 GB.
