BTW: Proceed with due caution if you use the GB2 as your primary machine and/or it's mission critical, but the latest builds of FireFox for WOA have reached the point where they are quite usable.

It's already noticeably faster than edge most of the time and is usably stable at this point in my opinion.

Again I would emphasize that it's still Alpha and also that you can't use it if you are in s-mode, but for the adventurous , it's worth checking out

I think you will find it worth the wait. It's a terrific machine especially when you take it in total.
One thing that all these forum tend to do is get overly focused on the various issues or shortcomings, but it's the nature of people (and nerds in particular) to complain.

If the GB2 had been available when I bought my personal Surface Go, I definitely would have bought it. I still may when I have the give the loaner that Samsung gave me back:)

Agreed, people post more about problems than about how much they love their device. I will say that the Surface Go is 'friendlier'. It is way lighter, the cover has that pleasant alcantara feel vs. hard plastic, and even the tablet itself is less slippery than the Book2. On the other hand, I absolutely love the Book2's battery life and OLED screen. They are both pretty great with different strengths and weaknesses. As a result I'm having a hard time getting rid of either of them, but tbh lately the Go has been gathering dust.

@JoeS the Book2 s-pen is the eraser end rubberized a la the Surface Pen? or is it just plastic?

I think it's just plastic, I'll try to remember to check tonight. If I forget feel free to ping me again!

OK, confirmed: it's hard plastic, the slightest bit rougher than the pen body, but not rubbery at all. And it's basically hemispherical, so it makes very little contact with the screen and slides around very easily.
