I'm a total newbie to the idea of modding laptops. Ages ago I heard that opening the case would void a warranty on a laptop. I see so many people upgrading their RAM on this site, so I'm wondering if I had old or incorrect info.
Will upgrading the RAM (or any other part) void a warranty?

    Thanks much!

Yeah, your safe to upgrade the ram. Be careful though, for some reason even the sales reps will tell you it will void the warranty. Not all of them, just a few trying to sell you their expensive ram.
