On my X1Y3 I used to be able to hit the windows key and type something like

remind me to ask a dumb question on tpcr at 3 pm

This would offer 'set a reminder' or so, at which point the black Cortana pane would appear showing the reminder. Easy peasy. Hitting Winkey-S and typing that same text also worked.

In the past few days I noticed that this no longer works. Instead I get a VEVO web preview result. Is anyone else still able to set Cortana reminders through typing in Win10 1903?

What I see when I try:

Did you use cortana or the search? Since Cortana was decoupled from search, you need to specifically use Cortana.

@Tourniquet I use the search box. I know search and Cortana were separated, but I saw at least one user who could still type a reminder in the search box, and have a Cortana icon show up at the top of the results list offering to set the reminder. On my install it doesn't, and Cortana refuses to work without the microphone. I'm just curious if my search setup is broken, or the other users install is somehow special.
