TX2500 news

    Did anyone notice that all other announced hp laptops use core 2 duo while the compaq one use athlon or sempron, only the tx2500 use the new puma platform. it looks like amd and hp has some kind of execlusive agreement so hp never put intel chip into their tablet. But why they are not using the new puma in other laptop? Still not good enough (even the cost will be lower than the C2D)?

    Btw, I wouldn't say the new line has better looking comparing to the current line, just different. The compaq line is definitely getting worse.

    In another thread, it seems the tx2500 has gained weight (4.59lb vs. 4.2lb, or a 200-gram gain to push it over the 2kg mark).

    There's a short video interview about the TX2500 on YouTube here, but it doesn't say much that we haven't already found.

    Also, it's back up on the UK site Yay! Even if we still can't buy it.

    5.1 capable
    cannot support XGP's

    No XGP is a bummer, but not a problem--if the HD3200 can do HD video, I'm still sold.
