tx1000 Touchscreen failure - RESOLUTION

    Hi Guys,

    As I mention a while ago I had a problem with touchscreen. It didn't go horizontally, just vertically making it impossible to use.

    I've contacted HP about the issue, and I need to share my thoughts on their service. To be honest I was scarred to send them my laptop. Their phone service is not that great ( some guys in asia asking you to spell your name few times, but once you get to somebody speaking english well, it's ok). Anyway I was really affraid. Still having no choice I've decided to send it. Last week on Thursday (12/13/07) I packed it and send. They received my baby on Saturday (12/15/07) and guess what, today morning (12/17/07) I have my baby back, with brand new screen, fully working. That's WOW, really I was expecting at least a week more of repairs.

    To summarize, maybe they phone support sucks, but their repair service is awesome!!!

    Was this under warranty and free of charge? If not, how much did they charge you for the touchscreen repair?

    yep. Still under warranty. No charge, no fee for shipping.
