try this build, i think it worth the price
    – Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)
    – AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-64 (2.2 GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache )
    – 12.1" WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display(1280 x 800) with Integrated Touch-screen
    – 1GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    – NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 6150
    – FREE Upgrade to HP Imprint Finish (Echo) + Fingerprint Reader + Webcam + Microphone!!
    – 802.11b/g WLAN and Bluetooth
    – 250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    – FREE Upgrade to LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer Support!!
    – No TV Tuner w/remote control
    – 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

2.2 and 2.4 still have a $75 gap but actually not that much speed different cuz they are all 512KB+512KB L2 Cache, so if you choose to stay with 2.0 is still ok. and i think a 8-cell battery and 250g hard drive are must have. especially if you gonna dual boot. i dont know how many ppl use wireless n but it seems useless to me. just go buy the memory yourself, it's only like 50 dollar for 2G

now your total will come to:

    Products subtotal +$1,338.99 *
    Rebates -$0.00
    Coupons (remove) -$400.00
    -------
    Order subtotal +$938.99
    Updating
    Shipping & Handling +$0.00
    Estimated tax +$72.77
    --
    Recycling +$6.00
    -----------------
    Order total $1,017.76
    --
    Mail-in Rebates -$0.00
    you saved 29.9%

and go to fatwallet.com apply an account and shop through their site, get another 3% back + if you use any reward credit card you will get the percentage from your card. see how much you can save? good luck guys! enjoy the deal!

I tend to get the stuff that isnt possible to upgrade by myself, pretty much all the built in ones. The HD & memory you can easily upgrade by removing a couple of screws. Although if you arent comfy doing it by yourself then go ahead and have HP do it for you. As far as the Bluetooth and wireless N, these are pretty much to future proof yourself. I have an old laptop and it didnt come with wireless built-in (but it was an option). Now I have to use either a USB or PCMCIA dongle for wireless.

I'll be ordering a TX2000 for a friend in the U.S. and am contemplating the USB TV tuner, as the friend also lacks a television (not that he can't afford one, just likes the poor college kid image) and it would at least allow him to watch the news. I can't find any info on the device though (it says in the description it only works with the tx and dv6000 series). Any clues?

I'm assuming the NB1003 (still valid perhaps?) and NB0400 coupons are not stackable?
