I bought a Kworld PlusTV HD Hybrid Stick 330 tv tuner to use with my tx2510us. All I want to use it for is basic analog cable. The problem is that the video is very choppy. I have tried using windows media player and arc soft total media 3, but both have the same results. I have tried changing settings in arcsoft with no luck. The odd thing is that the cpu usage doesnt go up too much at all, even with high performance mode. any help would be appreciated.

have you tried using it (tv tuner) while your laptop is pluged in ac. i did have the same issue with my hauppauge hvr-950 and i think the reason for this is that the memory or cpu is not at 100% capability even on high performance setting. i know this may be a hassle, but so far i havent found a remedy for this problem yet but the one i just adviced you.

just a thought, but try playing with the bios settings... it seems to override SOME of the vista settings, mainly processor speeds, when on battery.

when you boot yourlaptop, press f10 and it will put you to the bios menu. then under config tab you will see an option there for the battery/performance usage. choose high performance. also, there would be an option for dedicated memory for your video card, might as well put that too the highest setting (128mb)while youre there. ^^

ps. sorry for the wordings, i forgot what exactly were the words in the bios menu and english is not my 1st language.

I also have the same problem with Hauppauge hvr-950q. When watching cable I get some distortion about every 5 seconds. Same thing when I'm recording. I tried using WinTV and the Media Center, both with problems.

    Suggestions are welcomed.
