    It's an anti glare screen. It dispurses the light so you don't have a mirror like reflection. I guess it's a matter of taste, whether you like it or not. Since the stores have overhead, evenly dispursed lighting the picture looks worse because of it. According to the yahoo answer person, it actually helps with outdoor use by fighting sun glare.
    I guess if you do most of your work in an area where glare might be a problem, this would be a good screen, but if you are in a glare free zone all the time avoid it.

    How is the fan noise on the R20? Is the R20 quiet enough for a classroom setting?
