    Mine is from tigerdirect, purchased beginning of November.

    and while I thought i had screen lifting, upon further inspection, have determined that is not the case. I remain wary.

    A little update. I was able to get a refund on mine, and instead got the a03 version which comes with the dock and keyboard. WOOOT!

    I also feel good about the screen issue, becuase this is a new build order, and the site hasn't even received the shipment yet.

    We'll see. I'm really happy about it, becuase I was planning on using a 64gb microsd to put my VM files on, but that would be a pain, and now I can use the microsd for storage of movies, and downloads.

    We'll see how it plays out.

    its what they said. Their supplier is samsung directly, so I'm assuming it's a new batch.

    Guess we'll see.

    Thats some sweet news! Please post the serial number in that thread, now that we know for certain that you are getting a new batch we can compare with the old numbers!

    This is in danger of falling off the main page, so im doing a shameless bump.

    I mean seriously, the thread has 2500 views, but only 25 people have given their serial numbers? Come on people, lets see em!

    Hi everyone,
    I think this thread lacks information about Samsung serial number format.

    HLVJ93CBA002xxP

    P is just a control digit, so it does not make much sense to guess by it if device quality is good or bad;
    002xx is the serial number itself;
    A is the month of manufacture. 1-9 here are January-September, A is October, B is November and C is December.
    B is the year of manufacture. B corresponds to 2011, C corresponds to 2012.
    There is no info what the remaining characters mean, but seems that they indicate model and possibly some other minor changes. I hope Samsung had a good reason to change HLVJ93C to HLVJ93K, and hope that it's somehow connected to resolving quality issues, but it's just my guess.

    Found this info here, at the bottom of the page (in Russian): Samsung warranty
    Strangely, there's almost no such info in English anywhere.

    Dmitry.

    HLVJ93CBA01840V no issues with my screen. I use the Targus IPAD stand. I picked up my S7S at the Houston Galleria MS Store back on Oct 19.
